FARMAKOLOGI :
PRODERMAL® cream adalah zat antifungi sintetik spektrum luas yang juga mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap beberapa organisme Gram-positif termasuk Staphylococcus dan Streptococcus spp. Secara in vitro bersifat fungisidal pada dermatofit patogen, ragi dan jamur lainnya. PRODERMAL® cream efektif untuk mengobati infeksi dermatofit antropofilik dan zoofilik yang sering terjadi, terutama infeksi oleh Trichophyton rubrum dan T. mentagrophytes, kandidiasis dan pitiriasis versikolor.

INDIKASI :
Untuk pengobatan topikal infeksi kulit yang disebabkan oleh jamur yang peka (dermatofit dan ragi).
Infeksi-infeksi seperti tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis dan tinea unguium.

KONTRA INDIKASI :
Hipersensitif terhadap antifungi imidazol dan komponen obat ini.

EFEK SAMPING :
Efek samping dapat ditoleransi dengan baik.
Gejala-gejala iritasi lokal telah dilaporkan pada beberapa pasien pada minggu pertama pengobatan, sifatnya ringan dan sementara.

PERHATIAN :
Hanya untuk pemakaian pada kulit tidak boleh untuk mata.

DOSIS :
PRODERMAL® cream harus digosokkan dengan hati-hati, pada kulit yang terinfeksi dan sekitarnya 1 atau 2 kali sehari, pagi dan/atau malam hari. Pada daerah lipatan kulit krim harus digunakan sedikit-sedikit dan merata, untuk menghindari efek maserasi.

Lamanya pengobatan yang dibutuhkan untuk dapat sembuh bervariasi, tergantung pada organisme penyebab infeksi dan tempat terjadinya infeksi. Pengobatan selama 7 hari biasanya cukup untuk mendapatkan kesembuhan pada kebanyakan pasien dengan tinea versicolor, akan tetapi mungkin diperlukan sampai 6 minggu untuk kasus tinea pedis yang berat, terutama tipe hiperkeratotik kronis.

Lama pengobatan untuk infeksi dermatofit pada tempat-tempat lain, dan pada kandidiasis biasanya antara 2 sampai 4 minggu.

ACTIONS:
PRODERMAL cream is a synthetic broad-spectrum anti-fungal agent which also has antibacterial activity against several gram-positive organisms including Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. In vitro, it is fungicidal to pathogenic dermatophytes, yeast and other fungi. PRODERMAL cream has been found to be effective in the treatment of all commonly occurring anthropophilic and zoophilic dermatophyte infections, especially Trichophyton rubrum and T. mentagrophytes, candidiasis and Pytiriasis versicolor.

INDICATIONS:
Topical treatment of dermal infections due to susceptible fungi (dermatophytes and yeasts) and in those conditions complicated by infection with susceptible gram-positive bacteria. Infections, eg tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis and tinea unguium

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to imidazole antifungal agents or any of the components of the dermal medications.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
PRODERMAL cream medications are not for ophthalmic use.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
PRODERMAl cream is well tolerated upon local application.
Some patients have been reported local irritation. They are usually seen during the first week of treatment and are transient and mild.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
PRODERMAl cream should be gently massaged into the affected and surrounding skin area once or twice a day, in the morning and/or evening. In intertriginous areas, the cream should be applied sparingly and smoothed-in well to avoid macerating effects.
The duration of treatment required to achieve cure will vary from patient to patient, depending on the infecting organism and the site of infection. Treatment for 7 days is usually adequate to achieve cure in the majority of patients with pityriasis versicolor, but up to 6 weeks treatment may be necessary in the treatment of severe cases of tinea pedis, especially the chronic hyperkeratotic type.
The duration of treatment required for dermatophyte infections at other sites, candidiasis and erythrasma, is usually of the order of 2-4 weeks.
